Man, oh man. It has been a while. I’ve missed writing up some predictions to go along with my sports gambling addiction. Hope you all have been staying safe and enjoying the sports world as it has battled on through COVID-19.

Seems like just yesterday the UFC was the first sport to restart it’s business on Fight Island. Now we return to the island again for one of the biggest fights of the year and return of Lightweight Champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov. Going up against his biggest challenge yet in Justin Gaethje, the interim Lightweight Champion.
Cheap Seat Predictions currently stand at 73/110 for UFC predictions after correctly predicting the main and co-main for UFC 253.

Khabib Nurmagomedov (C) vs Justin Gaethje (Lightweight Championship):
Khabib is undefeated in his entire career at 28-0. Gaejthe is currently 5-2 in the UFC and 22-2 overall. His only losses came from Eddie Alvarez and Dustin Poirier from round three and four KOs respectively.
After putting on a boxing clinic against the Boogieman himself, Tony Ferguson, Gaethje is riding a four-fight win streak into this bout. But if you know Khabib, we know there shouldn’t be much stand-up combat going on.
Khabib is the currentsuper favorite at -325 and Gaethje is the underdog at +250.
With those kind of odds, it is pretty useless to bet on the Khabib straight up. If you are a Gaethje fan whatsoever, you might as well put some change on the boy. But just like I predicted the Khabib victory over McGregor, I have the next best betting option for Khabib.
His submission victory odds will be terrible odds. The round in which he finishes Gaethje, however, should be the play. Gaethje is a tough son of a bitch… and a fan of Khabib. He is going to go for a KO in the end of the first and really hard at the beginning of the second.
I believe round three is where Khabib will drag Gaethje to the deep end and drowned him. It’s a tricky game of trying to stay on your feet but conserve enough energy after Khabib gets a hold of you. But what’s that saying about death and taxes? Add Khabib to the list.

Robert Whittaker vs Jared Cannonier (Middleweight):
Although Robert has expressed that he was gassed out in his fight against Israel Adesanya from his back-to-back fights with Yoel Romero, he bounced back by beating Darren Till in a five-round bout.
Despite turning the tides, I think he is facing a huge test in an opponent who dropped from HEAVYWEIGHT 😳. The same opponent that Adesanya wants to fight should he beat Whittaker.

Alexander Volkov vs Walt Harris (Heavyweight):
Walt Harris has had a sad history with the tragic kidnap and murder of his daughter. I thought he was going to comeback and demolish Alistair Overeem but he couldn’t finish the fight and it got flipped on him.
I don’t think he let’s that happen twice. And he seems in good spirits despite all his adversity.
Plus, I don’t have much faith in Volkov putting Harris away.
